About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to spearhead transportation projects within the Vereeniging area. This role focuses on the planning, design, and supervision of road networks, intersections, and related transportation infrastructure. You will work closely with municipal authorities and construction teams to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities- Design and develop road alignment, pavement design, and geometric design for new and existing roadways.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Conduct traffic analysis and capacity studies to inform design decisions.
- Ensure designs comply with national and provincial road design standards.
- Manage project execution, including site supervision and quality control.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies and utility providers.
- BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering and road design.
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and traffic analysis tools.
- Knowledge of road construction materials and techniques.
- Experience with contract administration and project management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of traffic safety principles and standards.
