Construction Planner - Solar PV

Cox South Africa is looking for a Construction Planner responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting construction activities for utility-scale Solar PV projects, ensuring alignment with project milestones, construction strategy and approved baseline.

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Monitor progress, productivity and planned vs. actual performance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports, including schedule status, KPIs, progress curves, critical path, milestones and key deviations.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, S-curves and schedule narratives.
• Analyse critical path, delays, constraints and schedule risks.
• Develop recovery and mitigation programmes.
• Coordinate planning and reporting with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics and subcontractors.
• Support baseline development, schedule forecasting and change/delay analysis.

• 3–5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proven experience in utility-scale Solar PV construction projects.
• Advanced / Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Experience in project controls, progress measurement and management reporting.
• Good knowledge of construction methodologies, CPM and productivity analysis.
• Experience with EPC projects and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and communication abilities.
