Cox South Africa is looking for a Construction Planner responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting construction activities for utility-scale Solar PV projects, ensuring alignment with project milestones, construction strategy and approved baseline.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Monitor progress, productivity and planned vs. actual performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports, including schedule status, KPIs, progress curves, critical path, milestones and key deviations.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, S-curves and schedule narratives.
- Analyse critical path, delays, constraints and schedule risks.
- Develop recovery and mitigation programmes.
- Coordinate planning and reporting with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics and subcontractors.
- Support baseline development, schedule forecasting and change/delay analysis.
- 3–5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proven experience in utility-scale Solar PV construction projects.
- Advanced / Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Experience in project controls, progress measurement and management reporting.
- Good knowledge of construction methodologies, CPM and productivity analysis.
- Experience with EPC projects and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and communication abilities.
