About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer to join their industrial automation team based in Rustenburg . This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electrical control systems for manufacturing and processing plants. You will work directly with senior engineers and technicians, learning cutting-edge automation technologies. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to build a strong foundation in industrial electrical engineering within a collaborative, in-office environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of electrical control panels and systems for industrial machinery.
- Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using CAD software.
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on the factory floor and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production staff to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for automation processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with an interest in industrial automation.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming, HMI design, and industrial communication protocols is a plus.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical circuits, components, and safety standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to learn.
