Structural Engineer - Building Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Benoni. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and oversight of structural elements for a variety of building projects, ensuring the safety, integrity, and stability of all structures. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and relevant building codes. You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to bring innovative and robust structural solutions to life, playing a key role in the successful delivery of construction projects.

• Perform structural analysis and design for building foundations, frames, and other structural components.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Provide technical expertise and support to construction teams and project stakeholders.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration or eligibility.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design for building projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP
  2000) and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of materials science, mechanics, and construction techniques.
