Reservoir Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled Reservoir Engineer to contribute to their exploration and production activities in Klerksdorp . This role is vital for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from reservoirs through detailed analysis and strategic planning. You will work with advanced simulation tools and geological data to understand reservoir behavior and forecast future performance. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise in the dynamic Oil & Gas sector of the North West province , influencing field development strategies and contributing to significant resource optimization within a respected organization.

• Perform reservoir characterization using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict production performance.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and implement appropriate strategies.
• Conduct economic evaluations of field development plans and production enhancement projects.
• Monitor reservoir performance, analyze production trends, and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in reservoir engineering , including simulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel RE).
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid properties, and depletion mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with South African Oil & Gas projects is a plus.
