About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Process Mechanical Engineer to join their industrial operations in Benoni . This critical role involves the design, implementation, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment within manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of machinery, contributing to seamless production flow. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial mechanical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving process improvements.
This is an on-site position offering hands‑on engagement with cutting‑edge industrial technology and a direct impact on operational success.
- Design, modify, and implement mechanical equipment and systems for industrial processes.
- Analyze process performance, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions for improvement.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical plant equipment.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operating procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with process simulation software and CAD tools .
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Excellent problem‑solving, project management, and communication skills.
