Pharmaceutical Process Engineer

About the Role Our client is looking for a skilled Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations team in Klerksdorp. This role is integral to optimizing and troubleshooting the processes involved in the production of pharmaceutical products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement process improvements and maintain high operational standards.

This hybrid position allows for focused work on-site with opportunities for remote collaboration on project documentation and analysis.

• Develop, optimize, and scale up pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to improve yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Design and implement process validation protocols and execute validation studies.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with cGMP, FDA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Conduct process hazard analyses and implement safety measures.
• Prepare process documentation, including batch records, SOPs, and process descriptions.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical process development or manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of cGMP, process validation, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with process simulation and modeling software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
