Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for supporting the transition of engineering designs into efficient production processes for commercial vehicle programs. The role focuses on production line planning, process modelling, time studies, and continuous improvement, working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure build feasibility, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's/ B Tech Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification(s)
• 3 years plus of post-graduate in industrial and process engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production line dynamics.
• Experience with time studies and production line optimization.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams.
• 3D Modeling Software Experience (would be an advantage)
• Willing to travel overseas for variable periods

• Transition engineering designs and data into production, ensuring seamless integration and implementation.
• Participate in the engineering release process, ensuring all industrial and process engineering functions are addressed.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to review and approve sub-systems for each product line in terms of build feasibility.
• Develop detailed production line process models detailing how and where subassemblies are installed on the production floor.
• Investigate and resolve issues found on the production line, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct time studies and production line optimization to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and management, to align engineering projects with business objectives.
• Maintain thorough documentation of process models, methodologies, and findings.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and efficiency.
