Our client is seeking a specialized and experienced Chemical Process Specialist to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Klerksdorp . In this role, you will focus on enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our complex chemical production lines. You will be a key technical resource, providing expert analysis and solutions for operational challenges. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about process improvement within the challenging landscape of the North West region's industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying bottlenecks and implementing data-driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and operational guidelines.
- Conduct thorough investigations into process deviations and equipment failures, implementing preventive measures.
- Oversee the implementation of new process technologies and equipment upgrades.
- Provide expert technical support to the operations and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a specialization in process optimization and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of process control strategies and advanced analytical techniques.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects from conception to completion.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
