About the Role

Our client, a prominent industrial facility in Klerksdorp , is searching for a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer . This critical role ensures the optimal operational status and longevity of all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant. You will lead maintenance strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. • Develop and execute comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical assets.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical failures, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
• Oversee the repair, overhaul, and installation of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement of parts and services.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards in maintenance operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and manage complex repair projects.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning software and CMMS systems.
