Senior Facilities Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer to join their dedicated team in Klerksdorp . This position is essential for overseeing the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of production facilities within the oil and gas sector. You will ensure that all facilities meet stringent safety, environmental, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of facility engineering principles and a strong commitment to operational excellence and risk management.

• Manage the design and modification of oil and gas processing facilities, including pipelines, separators, and storage systems.
• Oversee construction, commissioning, and start-up activities for new facilities and upgrades.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure asset integrity and reliability.
• Conduct facility risk assessments and HAZOP studies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with project teams, operations personnel, and external contractors.
• Optimize facility performance to enhance production efficiency and reduce operational costs.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities engineering in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience in project management, construction oversight, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, equipment specifications, and industry codes (e.g., API, ASME).
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices for industrial facilities.
