About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Mine Ventilation Engineer to join their established team in Klerksdorp . You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring ventilation systems for underground mining operations. • Design, install, and maintain mine ventilation systems, including fans, ducting, and air conditioning units.
• Conduct airflow measurements and simulations to ensure optimal ventilation design and performance.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dust, gases) and implement control strategies.
• Develop and manage ventilation plans in accordance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot ventilation-related issues and recommend solutions to improve air quality and working conditions.
• Collaborate with mine planning and production teams to integrate ventilation requirements into mine design.

• Degree in Mining Engineering with a specialization in Ventilation or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mine ventilation engineering, preferably in underground gold or platinum mining.
• Proficiency with mine ventilation software (e.g., Ventsim, Vent Graph).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and psychrometrics related to mine environments.
• Experience with dust suppression and gas monitoring technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and project management skills.
