Chemical Process Developer

Our client is seeking a creative Chemical Process Developer to join their research and development team in Klerksdorp . This hybrid role focuses on innovating and refining new chemical products and processes from laboratory scale to pilot plant. You will play a critical role in bringing new technologies to life, requiring a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. You’ll collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers, contributing to the advancement of our client's product pipeline and leveraging expertise in both on-site laboratory work and remote analysis and reporting.

• Design and conduct laboratory experiments to develop novel chemical processes.
• Scale-up processes from benchtop to pilot plant, optimizing parameters for efficiency and safety.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• Troubleshoot process issues encountered during development and scale-up phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and research in chemical process development.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• Proven experience in process development, scale-up, and experimental design.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
• Familiarity with process simulation and modeling tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing lab work with remote analysis.
