About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Engineer to join their operational team in Nelspruit . This role involves managing and maintaining the electrical infrastructure within industrial facilities, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex electrical issues, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and overseeing electrical upgrades and installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, motor control, and safety protocols, contributing to the smooth running of operations in the Mpumalanga region.
This position requires a practical, hands-on approach and a commitment to safety.
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in industrial plants, including power distribution, motor control centers, and lighting.
- Perform root cause analysis of electrical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., OHSA Act) and company standards.
- Manage electrical contractors and oversee site electrical works, ensuring quality and safety.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams on electrical matters.
- Bachelor's or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial electrical engineering role.
- Proven experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems , VSDs, and PLCs.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical safety practices and procedures.
- Experience with troubleshooting complex electrical systems in a manufacturing or process environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
