About the Role
Our client is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join their team in Nelspruit, offering a hybrid work arrangement. This role involves the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for various construction and infrastructure projects. You will split your time between on-site project support and remote design work, ensuring electrical systems are efficient, safe, and compliant with all relevant standards.

- Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and control circuits for construction projects.
- Perform calculations for load estimations, voltage drop, and fault current analysis.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with national and international electrical codes and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to ensure successful installation and commissioning.
- Conduct site visits for inspections, troubleshooting, and to provide technical support.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and testing procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in the construction or relevant industry.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and installation practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in both on-site and remote capacities.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA is preferred.
