About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Process Engineer with expertise in specialty chemicals to join their innovative team in Nelspruit . This role is focused on the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of processes involved in the production of high-value specialty chemical products. You will work closely with R&D and production teams to ensure seamless scale-up and efficient manufacturing. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and a passion for developing advanced chemical solutions.

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for specialty chemical production.
• Conduct pilot plant trials and scale-up studies for new products and process modifications.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and refine process operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with R&D chemists and engineers to ensure successful technology transfer.
• Monitor process performance, analyze data, and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the specialty chemicals sector.
• Familiarity with various unit operations and chemical reaction engineering.
• Experience with process simulation software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team in Nelspruit .
