About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Designer to join their engineering team in Nelspruit . This role involves the design and development of intricate mechanical systems and components for a variety of applications. You will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas into detailed designs, utilizing advanced CAD tools and adhering to rigorous engineering standards. • Design mechanical systems, sub-systems, and components from concept to production-ready drawings.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
• Perform preliminary stress analysis and material selection to ensure design feasibility.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.
• Document designs thoroughly, including specifications, tolerances, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) .
• Support prototype builds and testing, troubleshooting any design-related issues.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer or Drafter.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor).
• Good understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
