About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Nelspruit, offering a hybrid work arrangement. This role is central to designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced control systems for industrial processes and automation projects. You will lead complex initiatives, ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of automated operations. • Design and develop robust control system architectures, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
• Program and commission industrial automation equipment for various manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including functional design specifications and testing protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in control system design and implementation.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial control systems engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
• Experience with robotics, motion control, and industrial networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both remotely and on-site in Nelspruit.
