Senior Completions Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Completions Engineer to join their operational team in Nelspruit . This role is essential for designing and executing well completion strategies that ensure safe, efficient, and productive wells, maximizing hydrocarbon recovery. You will be responsible for all phases of well completion, from planning and equipment selection to execution and post-job analysis, working closely with drilling and production teams.

As an on-site position, you will benefit from direct field interaction and hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas industry .

• Design and engineer well completion programs, including casing, cementing, perforating, and artificial lift selection.
• Select appropriate completion equipment and materials, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety standards.
• Develop detailed operational procedures and contingency plans for completion operations.
• Provide on-site or remote supervision and technical support during well completion execution.
• Conduct post-job analysis to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and optimize future completion designs.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to ensure completion designs align with production objectives and reservoir characteristics.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in well completions engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Strong knowledge of completion fluids, zonal isolation techniques, and artificial lift systems.
• Proficiency in completion design software and wellbore modeling tools.
• Excellent understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations related to well operations.
• Ability to work effectively on-site in Nelspruit and collaborate with diverse operational teams.
