About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to enhance their operational efficiency in Nelspruit . This pivotal role involves leading the development and execution of advanced maintenance strategies, focusing on preventative and predictive measures for complex industrial equipment. You will work closely with maintenance teams and operations to minimize downtime, optimize asset performance, and ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability.
While this role requires on-site presence for key activities and team leadership, it also incorporates opportunities for remote analysis and reporting, offering a balanced approach. The ideal candidate brings extensive technical knowledge and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
- Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and implement proactive solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.
- Oversee major maintenance projects, including planning, resource allocation, and execution.
- Mentor junior maintenance staff and provide technical guidance to the broader operations team.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a significant focus on engineering and strategy.
- In-depth knowledge of various industrial equipment, control systems, and maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
- Proven experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data analysis tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to work both on-site and remotely as needed.
