Lead Reservoir Engineer

Our client is actively recruiting a Lead Reservoir Engineer to drive strategic decision-making for their asset portfolio in Klerksdorp . This senior role demands expertise in reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and field development planning to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and economic value. You will lead a team of reservoir engineers, mentor junior staff, and collaborate closely with other disciplines to ensure optimal reservoir management.

• Lead the technical evaluation of reservoir potential and economic viability for new and existing fields.
• Develop and manage integrated reservoir simulation models to forecast performance and optimize recovery strategies.
• Oversee reserve and resource reporting in accordance with industry standards.
• Provide expert guidance on well performance, artificial lift, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Mentor and guide a team of reservoir engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
• Collaborate with subsurface and operations teams to align reservoir management with overall business objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent;
  Master's degree highly desirable.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency with reservoir simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing key stakeholders.
