Transportation Engineer - Urban Planning

Our client, a prominent engineering and planning firm located in Klerksdorp , is seeking a talented Transportation Engineer to join their growing team. This role is focused on the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, intersections, and public transport systems. You will contribute to improving mobility and connectivity within the North West region, working on projects that enhance urban and regional development.

• Conduct traffic studies, analyses, and demand forecasting.
• Design road networks, intersections, and associated infrastructure.
• Develop traffic management plans and signal coordination strategies.
• Prepare geometric design drawings and specifications.

• Assess the impact of developments on the existing transportation network.

• BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation.
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or eligible for registration.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering and traffic analysis.
• Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SIDRA INTERSECTION, Cube).
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and South African road standards.
