Senior Metallurgist - Processing Optimization

Our client seeks a highly skilled Senior Metallurgist to lead process optimization initiatives at their facility in Vereeniging. This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency, recovery rates, and cost-effectiveness of mineral processing operations. You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative metallurgical solutions. Working closely with the operations and R&D teams, you will drive advancements in metallurgical techniques to maximize value from extracted ores.

• Master's degree or PhD in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in metallurgical processing, with a focus on base metals or precious metals.
• Proven track record in process optimization and troubleshooting in a mineral processing plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of various metallurgical unit operations (e.g., flotation, leaching, smelting).
