Senior Operations Engineer

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Operations Engineer to enhance their manufacturing capabilities in Klerksdorp . This role demands a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles applied to optimize complex production systems. You will lead initiatives focused on increasing throughput, reducing operational costs, and improving overall efficiency and quality across the plant. • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing strategies, including value stream mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events.
• Manage capital projects related to equipment upgrades, process automation, and facility layout changes.
• Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards across operations.

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in industrial or operations engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification preferred), and process optimization techniques.
• Experience with project management, budgeting, and managing cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced data analysis tools.
