About the Role
Our client, a prominent engineering consultancy in Klerksdorp , is seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and supervision of structural elements for a variety of new construction projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role offers the chance to work on impactful projects across the North West region and contribute to the built environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design for new buildings and infrastructure projects using relevant software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for review and approval.
- Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations in South Africa .
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to coordinate structural requirements with overall project design.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor the construction of structural elements and ensure compliance with design intent.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and resolve any structural-related issues that arise during the building process.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or eligibility for registration.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering design and project execution.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software. - Strong understanding of material properties, load calculations, and structural integrity principles.
