Senior Automotive Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Automotive Electrical Engineer to join their innovative team in Klerksdorp . You will play a critical role in the design, development, and integration of complex electrical systems for next-generation vehicles. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive electrical architectures, power distribution, and electronic control units (ECUs). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to deliver robust and reliable electrical solutions that meet stringent industry standards.

Your expertise will be vital in driving technological advancements within the automotive sector.

• Design and develop automotive electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution modules, and ECU integration.
• Specify and select automotive-grade components, ensuring compliance with performance and reliability requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, diagnostic procedures, and validation test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues during vehicle development and production phases.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of electrical components.
• Stay current with emerging automotive electrical technologies and industry trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
  Master's preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Flex Ray.
• Proficiency in using ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design (e.g., Altium, Cadence).
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) for electrical system analysis.
