Senior Process Engineer - Gas Processing

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer with expertise in Gas Processing to join their operations near Nelspruit . This role is integral to optimizing the efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance of their gas processing facilities. You will be responsible for process design, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and implementing improvements to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and product quality. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in natural gas processing technologies, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring operational excellence in the Mpumalanga region's energy sector.

• Design, develop, and modify gas processing plant processes and equipment to meet production and quality targets.
• Conduct process simulations and analyses to optimize plant performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, diagnose process deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement procedures for safe startup, shutdown, and emergency response.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards related to gas processing.
• Lead or participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on gas processing.
• Strong knowledge of natural gas treatment technologies, such as dehydration, sweetening, and NGL recovery.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) principles and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
