About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to contribute to their advanced manufacturing facility in Benoni . This role is central to the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems that support production processes and machinery. You will be involved in everything from power distribution and control systems to automation and troubleshooting, ensuring peak operational efficiency and safety. This position requires a hands-on engineer with a strong understanding of manufacturing environments and a drive for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for manufacturing equipment and production lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks.
- Implement and optimize automation solutions, including PLC programming and HMI integration.
- Oversee electrical aspects of new equipment installations and facility upgrades.
- Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify areas for electrical system improvement.
- Manage electrical spare parts inventory and assist in procurement of electrical components.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI software.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, motor controls, VFDs, and power systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting complex electrical and automation systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards for industrial electrical installations.
