Costing Estimator & Roof Truss Designer

Join a leading name in hardware and building materials. Our client is an established, trusted supplier of hardware and construction materials with a proud footprint across the Western Cape. They are seeking a highly precise and driven Costing Estimator & Roof Truss Designer to join their team.

• Truss Design:
  Create safe, compliant, and cost-effective roof truss designs from architectural plans and engineering briefs.

• Cost Estimation:
  Generate highly accurate quotes and material take-offs for clients, contractors, and developers.

• Client Advisory:
  Work closely with builders, engineers, and clients to provide technical support and optimized structural solutions.

• Site Visits & Support:
  Travel between branches or project sites when necessary to ensure accurate measurements and project alignment.

• Proven experience in roof truss design and cost estimation within the timber or building materials industry.

• Advanced knowledge of MiTek and Pamir software programs is highly advantageous.

• Ability to accurately interpret complex architectural drawings and structural engineering requirements.

• Strong mathematical proficiency, attention to detail, and spatial awareness.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Excellent computer literacy

• Point of Sales experience will be advantageous (IQ retail)

• Matric required

• Tertiary qualifications will be advantageous (with at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar position)

• Must possess a valid South African Driver's Licence.
