About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects in the Nelspruit region. This role involves managing the development and execution of solar, wind, or other clean energy initiatives from feasibility through to commissioning. You will be responsible for coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. This is a critical position driving the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of renewable energy projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from site selection and permitting to construction and grid connection.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, EPC contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards relevant to the renewable energy sector.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; PMP certification highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro).
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, development processes, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with contract negotiation and management.
