About the Role
Our client, a respected infrastructure development firm, is seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to contribute to their ongoing projects in Klerksdorp . This role is focused on the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure, including roads, intersections, and traffic management systems. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation solutions. Key Responsibilities- Design and develop road networks, including geometric design, intersection analysis, and traffic flow modeling.
- Conduct traffic studies, demand forecasting, and capacity analysis for transportation projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for roadworks.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant South African road design standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and construction teams to integrate transportation infrastructure effectively.
- Perform site assessments and provide technical support during the construction phase of transportation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in transportation engineering and road design.
- Proficiency in transportation planning and design software such as PTV Vissim, SIDRA INTERSECTION, or Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, road safety standards, and urban planning concepts.
- Experience in preparing traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage project deliverables in Klerksdorp .
