Structural Engineer - Infrastructure Projects

Our client is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join their team focused on infrastructure projects in Nelspruit . You will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of bridges, retaining walls, and other civil infrastructure components. This role requires a strong understanding of load calculations, material behavior, and design codes to ensure the safety and longevity of critical structures.

You will work closely with other engineering disciplines and contribute to the development of essential infrastructure for the region.

• Design and analyze structural elements for bridges, overpasses, and other transportation infrastructure.
• Perform detailed calculations for reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structures.
• Prepare comprehensive structural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS codes, project requirements, and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with overall project plans.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering for infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Prokon).
• In-depth knowledge of bridge design principles and construction techniques.
• Experience with relevant South African engineering standards and codes.
