Senior Telecoms Engineer - Radio Frequency

Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Telecoms Engineer specializing in Radio Frequency (RF) to join their technical team in Vereeniging . This senior position is responsible for the design, optimization, and performance tuning of RF networks, ensuring superior signal quality and coverage. You will tackle complex RF challenges, conduct detailed site surveys, and lead initiatives for network upgrades and expansion.

This role demands deep technical expertise and a strategic approach to managing RF infrastructure in the Gauteng region, contributing significantly to the company's service delivery capabilities.

• Design, plan, and optimize RF networks , including cellular, Wi-Fi, and other wireless communication systems.
• Conduct detailed RF site surveys, measurements, and analysis to identify coverage gaps and interference sources.
• Develop strategies for network capacity planning, expansion, and technology upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex RF performance issues, ensuring optimal signal strength and data throughput.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate new RF technologies and equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on RF engineering best practices.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in RF engineering and wireless network design.
• In-depth knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, and wireless communication standards (e.g., 4G, 5G, LTE).
• Proficiency with RF planning and simulation tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet).
• Experience with spectrum analysis, interference testing, and drive testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects.
