About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Stress Analyst with a strong background in mechanical structures for their facility in Vereeniging . In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced structural analysis to ensure the integrity, safety, and performance of mechanical designs under various load conditions. You will work closely with design engineers to validate and optimize structural components, ensuring they meet rigorous engineering standards.
This is a critical position for an experienced analyst dedicated to structural integrity and safety within the engineering domain, contributing to a team focused on technical precision and reliability.
- Conduct detailed stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) on mechanical components and structures.
- Simulate structural behavior under static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue loading conditions.
- Interpret analysis results and provide clear, concise reports with design recommendations.
- Collaborate with design engineers to modify designs based on analysis findings for improved performance and safety.
- Validate analysis models using experimental test data where available.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations for structural integrity.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural analysis and FEA.
- Expertise in FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
- Solid understanding of mechanics of materials, elasticity, and structural dynamics.
- Experience with material behavior under various stress conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
