Industrial Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Industrial Mechanical Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Klerksdorp . This role is critical for optimizing production processes, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, and implementing engineering solutions to enhance productivity and safety. You will be involved in troubleshooting equipment failures, performing preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the plant. • Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues and equipment failures in a timely and efficient manner.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement engineering solutions to increase productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
• Collaborate with production teams to understand their needs and provide engineering support.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an asset.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
