Mechanical Design Engineer - Industrial Machinery

Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Nelspruit , specializing in the design of industrial machinery. This role involves the complete lifecycle design of custom machinery, from conceptualization and detailed design to testing and production support. You will be responsible for creating robust, reliable, and efficient mechanical solutions for manufacturing processes. Working within a team of experienced engineers, you will contribute to innovative projects that enhance industrial productivity and automation, based in a key industrial region.

• Design and develop custom industrial machinery and equipment using 3D CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions.
• Perform stress analysis, motion analysis, and other simulations to validate designs.
• Specify materials, components, and manufacturing processes for machinery construction.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and control system specialists to integrate mechanical and automation systems.
• Support machine assembly, testing, and commissioning, troubleshooting design-related issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of industrial machinery or automation equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor) and FEA simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanisms, kinematics, and machine dynamics.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
