Bioprocess Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Bioprocess Engineer to join their innovative research and development team in Vereeniging . This role is integral to designing, optimizing, and scaling up biological processes for the production of novel compounds and therapeutics. • Design, develop, and optimize bioprocesses for fermentation, cell culture, and downstream purification.
• Scale-up laboratory processes to pilot and production levels, ensuring process robustness and efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze process parameters, implementing improvements to enhance yield and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and quality control procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D scientists and manufacturing personnel, to achieve project goals.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bioprocess development and scale-up.
• Strong understanding of microbial fermentation, mammalian cell culture, and purification techniques.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience working in a regulated environment in Vereeniging .
