Metallurgist - Processing

Our client is looking for a skilled Metallurgist to oversee mineral processing operations near Vereeniging . This position is vital for optimizing the recovery of valuable minerals from ore through various chemical and physical processes. You will be responsible for process design, troubleshooting, quality control, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrometallurgy or pyrometallurgy, with a focus on achieving optimal plant performance and product quality in a complex industrial setting.

• Operate and optimize mineral processing plants (e.g., flotation, leaching, smelting).
• Conduct laboratory and plant trials to improve recovery and grade.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to quality control standards.

• BSc or BEng in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
