About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Process Engineer with a specialization in process optimization to join their established operations in Vereeniging . This role is crucial for driving significant improvements in efficiency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness across our client's chemical manufacturing plants. You will analyze complex process data, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute process optimization projects to enhance yield, reduce energy consumption, and minimize waste.
- Utilize advanced process modeling and simulation tools to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for process control and automation to achieve optimal performance.
- Conduct detailed data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve operational stability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation and sustainment of optimized processes.
- B.Eng. or
B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering . - Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization and debottlenecking.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience with advanced process control (APC) strategies.
- Strong understanding of chemical plant operations and equipment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
