Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Generation

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to manage and optimize operations within their power generation facilities in Vereeniging . • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment within power generation plants.
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance strategies for critical electrical assets.
• Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with all industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Manage electrical engineering projects, including upgrades, retrofits, and new installations, from concept to completion.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers and technicians.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on power generation facilities (e.g., thermal, hydro, or renewable).
• Proven experience with high-voltage electrical systems, generators, transformers, switch gear, and control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
