Electrical Design Drafter - Industrial Projects

Our client, a reputable engineering consultancy, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Drafter to join their team in Klerksdorp, North West . This role focuses on producing detailed electrical drawings and schematics for a variety of industrial projects. You will work closely with Electrical Engineers to translate design concepts into accurate and compliant technical documentation. This hybrid position requires a combination of in-office collaboration and the flexibility to work remotely.

• Produce electrical drawings, including single-line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Assist Electrical Engineers in the development of design documentation for industrial plants and facilities.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Review and update existing electrical drawings based on site modifications or project changes.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to clarify design requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized drawing files and revision control.
• Participate in design review meetings as required.
• Support the preparation of bill of materials (BOMs) based on electrical designs.

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Drafter or Designer.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical is essential; experience with Revit MEP is a plus.
• Strong understanding of electrical symbols, conventions, and drafting standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
