5G Network Deployment Specialist

Our client, a pioneering telecommunications infrastructure company, is looking for a dedicated and experienced 5G Network Deployment Specialist to manage and execute the rollout of advanced 5G networks in Tembisa, Gauteng
. This critical role will involve hands-on involvement in site acquisition, equipment installation, configuration, and testing of new 5G base stations and associated network components. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure timely and successful deployment, adhering to stringent quality and safety standards. • Manage and oversee the end-to-end deployment of 5G network infrastructure, including site surveys, civil works, and antenna installations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and local authorities for timely site acquisition and permit approvals.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of 5G equipment (e.g., radios, baseband units, power systems).
• Perform network testing, integration, and optimization to ensure performance and quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during the deployment phase.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, site logs, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to address any site-specific challenges or design modifications required.
• Manage inventory and logistics for network deployment equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile network deployment, with a strong focus on LTE/4G and 5G technologies.
• Proven experience with RAN (Radio Access Network) deployment, including site acquisition and installation processes.
• Familiarity with 5G  and key technologies (e.g., MIMO, beamforming).
• Experience with network testing and commissioning tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage field teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the Tembisa, Gauteng region and occasional site visits.
• Valid driver's license.

This contract position offers a competitive daily rate or project-based remuneration. Our client provides comprehensive project management support and access to state-of-the-art deployment tools.
