• Lead the process design of water and wastewater treatment plants, including conceptualization, PFDs, and P&IDs development.
• Perform mass and energy balances, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing for treatment processes.
• Select appropriate technologies and equipment for various treatment applications (e.g., filtration, membrane processes, chemical treatment, biological treatment).
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and process descriptions for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, discipline engineers (civil, mechanical, electrical), and construction teams.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling to optimize designs and predict performance.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant environmental regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of projects.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in water treatment engineering.
• Contribute to proposal development and client presentations in Benoni

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in process design, specifically within the water and wastewater treatment sector.
• Strong understanding of various water treatment technologies and processes.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Bio Win) and CAD tools.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and design standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and project coordination abilities.
• Experience with membrane technologies (RO, UF, M ) is highly desirable.
