Senior Telecommunications Systems Analyst

Our client, a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a highly analytical Senior Telecommunications Systems Analyst to join their team in Vereeniging, Gauteng, ZA
. This role is integral to evaluating, designing, and implementing complex telecommunications systems and solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing system performance, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that our client's telecoms infrastructure meets current and future business needs in the Vereeniging region. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background combined with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

• Analyze current telecommunications systems, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT).
• Design and propose new telecommunications system architectures and solutions to meet business objectives.
• Develop detailed system specifications, functional requirements, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendors to enhance network capabilities.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed system upgrades and implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business units to ensure successful system integration and deployment.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex issues, providing root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement test plans for new systems and functionalities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the telecoms sector.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and operational staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications systems analysis, design, or engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of various telecommunications technologies (e.g., VoIP, MPLS, cellular networks, fiber optics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience with network modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation, including system designs and requirement specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaunt with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with the telecoms landscape in Vereeniging and surrounding areas is beneficial.
• Experience with cloud-based communication platforms is an advantage.
