Civil Infrastructure Engineer

• Design and develop plans for municipal infrastructure, including roads, intersections, and residential services.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for civil projects.
• Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to coordinate project activities.
• Perform engineering calculations for earthworks, drainage, and pavement design.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to junior engineers and site personnel.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality and progress.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration with ECSA is preferred.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Sound understanding of road design, stormwater management, and municipal services.
• Knowledge of South African construction standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
