Water And Wastewater Engineer

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy specializing in municipal infrastructure, is seeking a dedicated Water and Wastewater Engineer to join their team in Klerksdorp, North West
. This role is vital for the planning, design, and implementation of water supply and wastewater treatment systems for municipal and industrial clients. You will contribute to critical projects that ensure public health and environmental protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic modeling, treatment processes, and infrastructure design. • Design and plan water distribution networks and wastewater collection systems.
• Develop designs for water treatment plants and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis of water and sewer systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual designs for new projects.
• Ensure compliance with water quality standards, environmental regulations, and relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases.
• Undertake site visits and investigations as required.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and client presentations.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in water/wastewater design software (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS, Civil 3D).
• Knowledge of various water and wastewater treatment technologies.
• Understanding of relevant South African environmental and water regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
