Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their operations in Tembisa. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical infrastructure that supports our energy generation and distribution networks. You will work on projects ranging from grid upgrades to new power plant installations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical systems.

• Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, protection, and control systems.
• Conduct load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in existing power infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in power systems engineering, specifically in design and project implementation.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, PSS/E).
• Strong knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution principles.
• Experience with medium and high voltage systems is essential.
