Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing operations based in Tembisa. • Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts for power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
• Specify electrical equipment, components, and materials based on project requirements and industry best practices.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit studies to ensure system integrity and safety.
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, national standards, and project-specific requirements throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to review designs and address technical queries during the construction and implementation phases.
• Maintain accurate design records and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD) for electrical design.
• Solid understanding of low and medium voltage electrical systems, protection schemes, and earthing principles.
• Knowledge of relevant South African electrical regulations and standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
