• Design and analyze structural systems for new builds and renovations, ensuring compliance with national building codes and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with architectural and MEP teams to integrate structural designs with other building systems.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and provide technical support to site teams.
• Perform structural assessments and provide recommendations for existing buildings.
• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by contractors.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering materials and techniques.
• Contribute to the development of innovative and cost-effective structural solutions.

• BEng or BSc in Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Professional registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• At least 6 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in designing steel and concrete structures for commercial and industrial projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, SAFE) and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building codes (SANS) and engineering best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage project documentation and reporting.
