Renewable Energy Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of cutting-edge solar and wind energy projects in the Tembisa region. You will lead projects from conception through to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relations to ensure successful delivery. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape, working closely with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to drive sustainable energy solutions and contribute to the company's ambitious growth objectives.

• Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies and permitting to construction and commissioning.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
• Liaise with local authorities , utility companies, and community stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and maintain positive relationships.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed to address unforeseen challenges.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; PMP certification is a strong asset.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused specifically on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.).
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects from initiation to close-out.
• Strong understanding of project finance , contract negotiation, and procurement processes within the energy sector.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with South African energy regulations and permitting processes is highly desirable.
